Today was Ian's very first day of preschool! I was so proud of our little guy, and how well he handled all the new stuff. There was not one tear when I dropped him off this morning, and he was all smiles when I picked him up this afternoon! I think it all might've been harder on Mom!! Today they learned about groundhogs for Groundhog Day and made "groundhog grub" (a snack mix) together, he went in the potty at school with no accidents, and he was working on tracing the letter "p" when I arrived to pick him up - all in all, I'd say quite a successful day! He couldn't wait to get on the phone with Daddy and Grammy to tell them all about his first day. I'm glad I had Bible study for a couple of hours this morning, because it's going to take some getting used to not having him around all day, every day. After Bible study I talked to my Mom on the phone -
uninterrupted! - with my coffee at Starbucks, and had a free hour to browse around a baby boutique that I'd been wanting to visit.
Here's my little guy arriving at school and meeting his new teachers and friends (with a new haircut we're trying out!) Here he is getting into the morning activity before I left - isn't he sweet?!

Sounds like such fun! Though I know you enjoyed your break, I also know it has to be something seeing your little boy off for the first time at preschool! What's an uninterrupted conversation like? You'll have to tell me sometime. ;)
Much love to you all! It's a blessing to share these details of your days!
Love,
E
Aww...I can't even believe how grown up he's getting to be, I can't imagine what you as Mommy must feel! My goodness...well he looks gorgeous as always, thanks so much for the great update!
*Sigh* They grow up so fast, don't they?! So happy the first day was a huge blast & hit for everyone. I'm even happier to hear you had a Bible Study to occupy your time while you adjust to this. :)
So handsome, Janelle. Il ove the new haircut!
YAY for preschool and for some "mommy" time! He is such a big boy now! Love the haircut!
How awesome that you'll have some "mommy" time before the newest arrives. And the icing on the cake - that Ian loves preK! How great is that? His haircut is super cute, btw.
What a big boy! So glad it's all working out well. I remember it all so well - I used to get so excited knowing how much fun they were having with their friends - that was really more important to me than "mommy time." I can't wait for Hannah to make friends at church and preschool. I know she'll love it; she's already so social :0)
Thanks for the precious pix! What a sweet family! And now, another girl!!! Love you!
